Art nouveau mechas

As part of a longer design course where we had to design some sort of Mecha battle game (Like TitanFall), we were tasked to create a Mech along with the weapons it could be wielding !
-----------------
As the brief was quite open so I chose to add an "Art nouveau" twist to the universe ! It also gave me the idea of this "flowering metal" mechanic that can be found in the weapons. The technology in this world allows the metal to bend and transform which would lead to the same kind of bended metal shapes that can be found in the "Art nouveau" era.
-----------------
Huge thanks to Wouter Gort for his precious feedbacks, words of encouragement and support during the project !

Early exploration for the main mech. These were purely shape-based, the "Art nouveau" twist was actually added afterwards, as details on top of the shape I settled for.

Different types of mecha weapons and how they work. I had the idea to have this kind of "Flowering metal" mechanic which would happen when the weapon would activate and create the kind of patterns that we can find in "Art nouveau" art.

Earlier explorations for the weapons. These were very broad as I explored different type of feel: modern vs ancient, melee vs ranged. The main challenge was to show that the weapons were meant for mechs and not for humans.
